Jeff's bad day in In the Kingdom of Suzu

Not a good day for Jeff at all.

1. Found out that his dad will not be coming home from the hospital. They are going to keep him where he is at and see if they can keep him stabilized and comfortable---next step would be hospice. We saw my fil a month ago, not sure if we will head down for a few days again or not, it will not be pretty and Jeff does not want to remember him comatose---I think he needs a day to process it all.

2. Found out that his guitar teacher, who is also the leader of the band that is really taking off, is being evicted and is moving to Pittsburg to live with his son. Also the bass guitar player just quit.

3. Work is being difficult for him again---typical new management guy who has no idea how the shop should be run, but wants to make all these changes, I.e., having the shop run 24/7 with guys working 12 hour shifts. Jeff at 59 1/2 can not physically do that, so would have to get a dr's excuse. Most of the other guys who run the same machine also do not want to do that kind of a shift---physically beats up their bodies. Of course, it is all very speculative but it is still a stresser.

4. Bought hoagies from someone at work and they were to be our dinner. He got half way home and realized he left them in the fridge at work! Good thing we had gotten sausage out and we had that over pasta for dinner.

Yes, definitely not a good day at all for Jeff.
