Sent home today in Watching Life Fly By

I was sent home from work at 11:30am today. The principal saw me walking my kids to their next class and asked if I was feeling okay. I said I was fine, just allergies but he asked me to see if I could arrange coverage and leave because I look miserable (my eyes were watering, I was coughing and my nose was stuffed up beyond belief). I said I was okay but he asked me again to go home and rest even though he knew I liked to be there. I did as he asked. I gave my kids to my assistant and my co-teacher for the remainder of the day and I left.

I got home around noon, ate lunch and fell asleep propped up on pillows on and off for 3 hours. I guess I needed it. I woke up feeling congested but not as bad as I was earlier.

Between my clotting disorder and the pregnancy I cannot take more medications. I was told Benadryl was fine for both but that is something I can only take at night. During the day, I really have no options. Hoping tomorrow is a better day.
