And We Danced in Still Listening to Spirit

Oh the sun hadn't even finished lighting the sky before the lights began to show up and dance in the skies! Bright green vertical streaks edged on their south side with a tinge of pink did a conga-line dance across the sky first dancing west to east and then east to west.

The NOAA/POES aurora satellite model showed huge red encircling the north pole stretching clear down to Minnesota and who-knows-where-else--the intensity a 10 out of 10 on the scale. I am on Aurora Lovers facebook page and the first post of a photo I saw last night was from Minnesota.

I texted all the usual suspects--so much easier than the phone calls I used to make in the middle of the night previous to texting. Texting less invasive and I don't wake the whole household up with a ringing phone.

I parked myself out on the deck in my chair with only a sweatshirt against the cold as the night was a wee bit coolish but not cold. A cup of hot tea to sip made it perfect for sky watching. I had to laugh at myself, most people take their hot beverage out to the deck or back yard first thing in the morning to enjoy sunrise to greet the day. Here I was, marveling at the night sky.

Ah, ah, wonderful.

Gotta go, I am watching CNN special on the 44th anniversary of the Kent State killing. Shocking then for me as a young mother, shocking still.

Blessed be!
