Yesterday I had a bit of a wobble and suddenly thought to myself that I won’t be able to remember how to do my tours. I texted Esme and asked if she minded if I went on her tour this morning. She told me that was fine. Once Eleanor had gone to school, I made a beef in ale casserole for the slow cooker before I drove to work.
John decided he was going to come with me and sat in the car while I did the tour. It did make me feel a whole lot more confident, I have to admit! John suggested we had our lunch while we were there and all my colleagues kept coming over to talk to me. So that was very lovely.
We then drove about half a mile to a nearby forest and had a little walk. John hadn’t been the way I took him before, so we’ve decided to go back another day when we’ve got more time (he was playing Zoom D and D with his brother this afternoon.)
I spent this afternoon decorating my bedroom a bit more (ie ignoring the tidying up that needed doing) whilst listening to Cocteau Twins.
I’m can’t wait to go back to work properly tomorrow now!
This time next week, Rob will be packing his bags for Dublin. He’s more or less sorted. He’s just had a Zoom call with a bank in Ireland and has got an account all set up. The house will be quiet without him.
