Long weekend in Diary

I've had a busy day today. Before I'd been up two hours I'd put in a load of washing, cleaned out my birds, had breakfast, washed up, had a shower, took my car in to have some work done, walked home, hung up the washing, vacuumed the house, walked back to the garage and brought my car home. phew

The car failed its MOT last week and they said it needed quite a lot of welding doing to the exhaust. I spent ages ringing around places, but hardly anyone does welding, weirdly. I finally found somewhere but, when I went back to collect it, he said it doesn't need any welding, he just found a loose joint so he replaced the clamp and says it's fine now. I'm a bit dubious, if the bloke at the MOT place said it was really bad and some people might try to tell me it needs replacing...well it does now sound a lot better than it did and only cost me £24, which is a vast improvement on the £400 I had to spend to get my last car through its MOT. So if it passes now, I'll be very happy. I've had to take two half days off work to get it sorted, the retest is on Tuesday so hopefully it'll be ok without any welding...

Lou also came round this afternoon. She's an ex of Jay's mate Matt so we don't really see her very often as Matt is normally there when we all meet up. But she's got a baby now, he's five months old and very cute and smiley. Honestly, I've never met a better behaved baby, he hardly made a sound for the entire three hours they were here. So that was nice to have a catch up.

Me and Jay are going out tonight, there's a local band he wants to see. And then tomorrow I have my first roller derby session, eeeeee!

No plans for Monday (public holiday) so I'm going to see if I can my latest Domestic Pet Care essay done and see if I can do anything to get going with for setting up my business.

It's strange having a three day weekend and not being in Cumbria with my family, but I was only there two weeks ago and mam and dad are on holiday in Spain, so there isn't really much point. I've had plenty here to keep my busy anyway.

81 working days remain.
