Cases and visits in A Day in the Life of Me

Cases are starting to creep up here again.. and apparently one of the new variants has been detected here now as well.
Tried to have a discussion with a “guy” on FB about whether or not it is possible to contract Covid outside..
Did you know .013% means no chance?! ..... try to have a serious convo with someone, and he digs up some “article” based on stats from china about how there was only 1 case ever there contracted outside..
My response about it being less likely, but still possible was met with clown face emojis and memes… Seriously dude? You asked a question, and said “Serious question here…” to start it off..... good thing the original post was on a friends wall and said friend happens to be a top doc at the local children’s hospital.
He basically baked up what I said, without saying he was backing up my point… lol

Anyway BECAUSE the cases are climbing, our province has snapped the borders shut again, and so I am high tailing it home to see mom before they decide to shut up the city borders again. D has been on my ass for the past week or so to start looking into going. Had a HUGE jump in cases yesterday, so yea… time to go.
Got another gift for her today, a body wash and lotion set in Rhubarb and raspberry, So i wrapped that up with a pocket notepad and some earrings in birthday paper for her, its a few months away, but at least she’ll have it there if I can’t get back down during her birthday month. Mother’s day bundle is also packed up, as well as a bag of “just because” things. Cards are all bought and organized with said packages, as well as my nieces (already gone) and nephews (next month) birthday cards.
Going to replant the planted pot that the kittens killed on me over the winter this week and take that down too. Planning on getting dropped at her work and surprising her there, Figure I will wrap the plant in gift basket cello, and drop it at the front desk and have them page her, and hide around the corner… lol though i do have a house key, so I could just scare the shit out of her at home 🤣
Already have a ride home arranged, so only have to shuttle it one way!
Gonna mean a week and a half in that hell hole of a town, but I got this.... if only to see Mom.
