Subtitle: the story of origins - of Mankind, Life, the Earth and the Universe

Author: Isaac Asimov

As is well known, Asimov wrote about pretty much every topic under the sun. He was an acknowledged genius, and wrote over 500 books in his lifetime.

This book should be required reading for EVERY science student from high school into college. It covers history of science, biology, cosmology, earth science, evolution, and EVERYTHING in between.

From viruses to the universe - all levels of science are covered - all sizes, all shapes. It turns science into a cohesive whole, not separated into chemistry/biology/physics, etc. I wish I'd read it years ago.
