AH! Finally mostly caught up on reading. I vowed that I wasn't going to get into the intellectual writing until I was caught up. I specify intellectual because... damn, sometimes I just need to get that emotional stuff out or it will do seriously unkind things to my mind and body.
In that regard, I'm staying unswayed about the counseling thing this time. The Wife has both accepted that we need it and has begun trying to convince me that we shouldn't go because of the expense. Of course, I try to figure out the logic and it gets complicated. So, we need counseling. But she doesn't want to go to counseling because of the expense. But she doesn't want to get divorced. So... from what I understand... her ideal solution would be that we stop fighting and then everything is solved? I told her today, in no uncertain terms, that we need (and will go) to counseling because there is no "magic, miracle cure" for dealing with a marriage that is over 900 days abstinent. I seriously have a difficult time understanding or accepting that... I've gone through 7 semesters of law school final exams in a completely sexless marriage. As painful as it can be to contemplate... counseling is a necessity and the cost is the least of our concerns.
In regards to my intellectual writings... I'm going to throw some stuff into the formerly called "Politics and Religion" book... I'll call it something else when I start working on it. I've got a friend that I respect a lot and her opinions and experiences are significantly different from mine... so I kind of want to get her opinion on some of my writings (as, of course, I always want opinions from you all). To that end, I'll likely be releasing my security hold on that section... but I do that tentatively. Political thoughts traced back to a New Lawyer that don't synch with the State Bar or Employers can be... problematic.
