Something to look forward to in At the foot of the hill

After a whole year of pandemic life, I have to tell you, I am excited about the future. Got a message from our daughter yesterday, inviting us to come to Montana for several weeks late this spring. She and her husband will fly down and drive us in our car to their home near the Canadian border in mid to late May. We will stay with them until sometime in June when our son’s mother-in-law will be having a 90th birthday celebration in our old home town in western North Dakota. We will meet there with son who will drive us back to Colorado. We will all have had our shots by then and can hopefully get to see many old friends one more time. And spend lots of time just watching our 3-year-old great grandson be a 3-year-old!
We will get to meet our granddaughter’s significant other. And once again enjoy the long, beautiful June evenings where twilight lingers ‘way into the night. (Mountains are beautiful, but so is the prairie!)
It’s three months off, but definitely attitude changing.
