My mind is like an abandoned ancient city.
I’m wandering down back alleys and ducking through doorways, trying to find an answer.
Yet all that I find is debris and skeletal pieces.
The sun burns hot upon my head, but my heart is so cold.
The haze from the sand in the desert winds blind me from truth.
Still, I trudge on into the oncoming blackness.
