Surprise email! in A small but passable life.

I knew it would come, just not when.

I just put a deposit down on my Starlink! Supposed to start shipping to my area sometime mid to late summer 2021.

I can’t wait to cancel my current almost non-existent internet service provider. As my old drill sergeant in basic said- “You’re slower than dirt and dirt don’t move!”

I can’t wait until Starlink sinks all the providers.

Sure, I’ll be paying about $65 a month more but after the system enables movement of the receiver a customer will be able to use the system anywhere on the entire planet, even in mobile applications.

Starlink apologized in the email saying that currently speeds are only 50Mbps to 150Mbps! But should improve dramatically over time. Improve? An internet provider improving service? That’s surely anti-capitalist!

The fastest I’ve seen on this Dish cable is 23Mbps.

Anyway, I’ve got something to look forward to.

I found a company in Cali that has one. It’ll be dropped in a crate at the end of my driveway.

Good thing I’ve kept my old motorcycle leathers from back in my Harley days.
