It's the last day of the Colorado State seminar on renewable energy/energy efficiency. Another student and I will be driving to Salida this afternoon to present our project outline, and the discussions he and I have are always entertaining and enlightening! :-)

This part of Colorado has HUGE potential to use the available technologies to generate renewable power, and the jobless rate (we're in one of the poorest counties in the state!) could be reduced if we create jobs in the RE/EE arena.

Weatherstripping, sealing up windows, and better insulation go a long way to reducing consumption, and depending on how much fallow or unused land is available, why not raise canola or other crops as biofuel feedstocks?

The wheels are a-turnin'! :-)
