The best end of day this year, clear sky and the sun shining on the sunlounge, not that I was outside, I was under the glass sweltering! I have been painting, some variations of a Poppy watercolour painting I did last year in class, it’s my Sister’s birthday at the weekend; I think I shall send one to her with the birthday card.

I had a walk about the cliff tops this morning, there was some sun then, and a scatter of heavy clouds; landscapes and sky-scapes! It seems quiet again now Easter is passed, I saw a family walking across the path I was walking, perhaps they were egger to see the sea, in twenty minuets I took seventy four images; on the computer I edited them down to seven.

Jo has started a Wednesday evening agility class, my Daughter took Lola and I took the two of them in the car. There was three dogs at the class, including Lola – this class had much better weather than Sunday’s Dog Show; a bright fresh evening under the clear sky I mentioned at the top. Going the road to Newquay was busy, coming back we had it to ourselves …..

It was a quiet evening after sunset, an event I watched while I was adding grass and field plants round the poppy’s. I had some time watching the television, not much on these last day’s, this week I’ve been watching the BBC’s ‘Parade’s End’s’ I have it on Blu-ray disk.

As I type I’m listening to Kurt Weill’s September Songs, most are in English with just a few in German. There are a curios mix of singers, Nick Cave, P J Harvey, Lou Reed, Elvis Costello, Lotte Lenya and Bertolt Brecht. Music from Berlin in the years before the second World War, and enjoyable on a quiet night ….

I’m enjoying music again, my Daughter gave me a pair of Sennheiser headphones for my birthday last month; now when I’m on the computer I sort through my CD’s; no one quite enjoys my music like I do!
