Vacation Eve! in In the Kingdom of Suzu

Busy getting ready to leave to OBX Friday mid-day for a week's vacation. Princesses L and M are coming with and they are QUITE excited. My daughter is going to have to take some of our stuff in her car because we won't have enough room since the princesses are going down w/us. We'll stop overnight at my in-laws, the princesses are quite excited to see them, especially PrincessM as the in-laws have cats.

My son and his family will come Sunday. They are splitting the trip up, altho' i think it would be best if they drove straight down. The drive really isn't that bad, there are nice places to stop on the way to let my DIL nurse the baby and for PrincessE to run around and still get down in one day (we can't get into the house until after 4 and could even be up to 6). Oh well, that's their decision.

Hope the week will be good weather-wise, but even if it isn't the best, we will have a great time, relaxing, watching stupid movies, listening to music, recorded and live as the guys as bringing their guitars. We can get a permit to have a fire on the beach so hopefully the weather will be nice at least one night for us to do that.

The nursing home had a "memorial service" for all those that passed away in August which i was invited to. It was ok, i thought it was a little mechanical, but i guess for what it was it was nice.

Jeff and I both came down w/some kind of cold which put a big damper on getting ready to go away. Oh well, as long as the cat sitter can walk into the house and take care of our "boys" i guess it will be okay---actually the house isn't that bad, but i wanted to get a lot more accomplished before we went away. Oh well, i think it will still be waiting for me when i get back!
