Not so silver lined in Second 1st

It’s been a stressful week. Monday we went in and the plant manager made an announcement that our “business was expanding” … always make it sound good. Then there was a series of short sentences that some of us pieced together differently than others. That was done on purpose to confuse the masses. The 62kwh battery is going to be made in the UK.... aside from what Nissan is ordering for the leaf. A 10% tariff has been added to our shipments and it’s no longer lucrative (according to Envision) to make them here. Until UK is ready to produce we will be shipping modules for them to build pack....

There was a rumor about a month ago that there was talk of taking down one of the machines. This resulted in the belief that they would have to run the one machine for 4 shifts and weekends might come back! Ah for the love of rumor. I wish it so. I would go back to weekends without a thought… 3 days are far easier to handle even if it’s 12 hour shifts.

Was told Monday that COVID is finally catching up to us and we are running out of parts right and left. Resulting in us going home 2 hours early yesterday and having to do jobs that my head just is not wanting to do. I was off balance at some point yesterday and ran my hand into something stationary… this morning it’s slightly swollen and bruised. Lovely.

I’d ignored bills this month and paid them yesterday morning before work. Paid the late charge on the water and paid the lights.... looked at what there was and have been stressing ever since. I got the message that I have 7 days left on my phone .... and my left shoe is falling apart..... so.... after 5 months of Rocky not working I think we may need to start using the Emergency fund to keep things moving. This does not make me happy.

I’ve been irresponsible lately called out too many days in a month (3 in Jan so far). I bought my elliptical but spent the rest of that stimulus on taking days off. I’ve lost all my personal buffer. there’s not enough to move from my personal account to cover the house note this month. I made $50 on MTurk this last month and we’ve made very little progress with the pallet stuff this month.

Shoes are coming apart. My left knee was excruciating yesterday. So much so that I had a tone of trouble sleeping. Managed 4 hours.... leading to a migraine this morning. Deciding to take something to help get some rest.... I’m going to call the doctor later today to see if I can schedule to try this once a month shot while I’m off in March. .... I’d like to have some time to assess side effects before I have to work and just hope I can cut these days off down. (Granted last week was because … just because I was irresponsible).

The train near my house ( not that close but I’m glad our bedroom is on the opposite side of the house) is a STOMP concert in my brain.

I need to get back up just after 8 and run to WalMart. I’m going to get some shoes there .... I bought a pair a couple of weeks ago when I noticed my shoes were hurting my feet. I went to change out the laces and one of the retaining loops broke making the pair unwearable. Rocky suggested returning them but I’d thrown out the receipt. I’m going to buy a new pair today and take the broken pair back later today/tomorrow to swap for another new pair. I’ll have 2 pairs then so I’ll be good for awhile....and my knee will feel a ton better.
