Too easy! in A small but passable life.

I Ubered (Uberd?) to the bank and to the post office today. I went across the street to the Chevron station to request the ride. This park with 1085 units and a crazy numbering system is a nightmare for strangers to the park to navigate, let alone trying to figure out how to get in. We went through the drive-thru at the bank and I found no line inside the post office while the driver waited outside. I showed the driver how to drop me off in front of my unit. I had taken the clicker for the east gate with me.

The whole trip took less than an hour. A total of about eleven miles and a total cost less than ten dollars. Definitely cheaper than one days worth of car ownership.

Hopefully it will be months and months before I’ll need to leave the park again, except for going across the street for a desert hike.

I plan on staying away from everybody until herd immunity is reached. It has been fourteen days since the girls left and we are all symptom free. So, that risky visit worked out fine.

The vaccine rollout has turned into a clusterfuck here, just like everywhere. And ICU capacity here is steady at 93%. And Arizona deaths just went past 10,000.

But hey, we may be getting another $1400.

So that will be nearly half my new Honda CB500X paid for by the government. ($1200+$600+$1400)

So anyway, things just keep getting easier to be able to sit right here.
