That was a very nice family Easter Sunday. We couldn’t go out for a drive because it rained so we spent the day watching a little TV, doing a few odd jobs and, of course eating some chocolate! I bought the boys Easter eggs this year even though they are 32 and 25! Last year I didn’t because I thought they were too old for all of that and Tony was really disappointed, he said he enjoyed feeing like child again.
I am still feeling the affects of the bug I caught. It’s been 2 weeks now. I did manage to get out into the garden on Friday and planted a foxglove and another forget me not to replace the one that a furry black and yellow caterpillar ate, he has also had most of my cowslips and some primula. He must be that very hungry caterpillar from the childrens book!
The tulips and double narcissi have been beautiful this year. Sometimes I wish I could paint as photos don’t do them justice unless you have a really expensive camera. Hubby paints but not from life, he copies pictures from magazines and calendars. I don’t understand that. There is so much around us that is crying our to be painted, the flowers, the cats, the view, why go to a magazine. Still each to his own I guess.
