I am looking at you Scandal. You hyped the season finale for weeks. WEEKS, I say, WEEKS. And in the end, you did not deliver.

Caution…Spoilers (not very good ones) Ahead.

Sure you killed off Little Jerry after Fitz found out that Big Jerry raped Mellie. That was a little bit of a surprise even though Little J hasn’t been around very long. At least he didn’t die a virgin. And, yes you blew up the church, but most everyone got out, I think. They never really did go back to that. And Sally got her 9/11 as Leo put it. And it was great to see Mellie lament about the lost money on Olivia (“I want our money back”). Cyrus did not get taken to task for not alerting POTUS to Bombus like he should have. Papa Pope lived to see another day and to see his wife (are they still legally married) in his favorite hole (don’t be gross, the one at B613). Speaking of B613, Papa Pope is back in charge after making a deal with Fitz (making him believe that Mama Pope was responsible for Little J’s demise).

Perhaps the most shocking thing in the episode was Harrison & Abby walking in on Huck & Quinn going at it doggy style on the OPA conference table. And by shocking, I mean, holy shit can you really put that on network? And…Gross.

Where the hell was Andrew? He was at the funeral and then he was not around at all for any of the goings on.

Kind of sick for Cyrus and all those staffers to be celebrating the big win so jubilantly so very soon after Little J died on television all at the hands of trusted Tom.

And Harrison…dead or alive? They wouldn’t really do that soap opera thing would they?

Jake turned over a hell of a lot of B613 files to David Rosen, which I am sure the boxes leaving B613 & being delivered to the justice building in on satellite video somewhere . Then he flew off into the sunset with Liv to parts unknown.

Oh and Fitz, while being distraught and comforted and then told to sack up and get out there and make a speech asked “Where’s Olivia”. Dude, you are a total knob.

And Liv ignores the call…

So what happens next? Olivia isn’t going to stay away. I am betting Harrison’s demise brings her back. Charlie is still “on the loose”. Papa Pope is back in charge of B613, so lots of people are going to die. How long before Mama Pope’s makeup wears off in that hole? She had a full set on when Papa went to check on her. Where’s baby Teddy? And who is taking care of Cyrus’ child? White House Daycare? What is Sally going to do now? Will she be back? And seriously, where the hell is Andrew?

I hate when a show hypes its finale and then does not deliver. If you are going to run that kind of campaign, you need to deliver in a big way.
