UF! So, I was planning to call my parents when I got home as discussed in therapy. However, when I got home… Nala (my dog) had lost her tiny mind. She has been an unholy destructive terror and so now I need to call my parents to discuss “Is there any logical way I can keep this dog?” Because getting home after Pitch Dark when it is 12 degrees out; I can give her a walk but it isn’t safe and it isn’t long. And I can try to play with her outside, but I can’t see anything. And I know she’s bored stiff in the house all day but it is too cold to put her outside all day, and when I let her out this evening? She went into a full sprint and circled the yard 28 times before stopping to try to get me to throw a toy for her. This poor thing is not managing. So I have to call them to see if there’s anything that can help. Because there are no Doggy Day Cares around here; there are no Rover Dog Walkers around here; there is nothing out here to actually help someone take care of the dog. So… I’m really bloody stuck. And fighting the tears in even thinking about it because I know I have to do what is in Nala’s best interest but… if I can’t keep her… if I can’t find some way that keeps her from getting so bored, destructive, and disobedient… that would be… everything. That would be 2020 took everything. And I really don’t want that to happen.
