I begin to feel some form of hope as Biden takes his place as President Elect. No one has heard from President Trump yet, and I gather he is out on the golf course this morning. Yes, Biden golfs too, but there aren’t any other direct comparisons.

I hope that many of the Trump supporters feel now is a good time for honesty. Nancy Pelosi reminds us that Biden was, “elected a unifier who values faith, family and community, and who will work tirelessly to heal our nation.” Everyone but Trump and his staunchest supporters are congratulating Biden. Instead Trump will be taking this election to court.

Feeding seniors: In other parts of our state, my friend Katy writes that they qualify for, “senior vegie boxes through a coronavirus/FEMA/whatever/low income program…every Tuesday all summer long a big waxed produce box was available for pick-up at our community hall…herbs, fresh fruit, lettuce, potato, tomato. Squash, eggplant, chard, kale, cucumbers, peppers, radishes, onion, garlic, broccoli, wheat berries and wheat flour grown in Mendocino County, organic tortillas. (Lots of organic stuff)It’s been amazing.” On the coast, “Local restaurants have a senior free dinner program on the coast, and it’s keeping them from going under.”
