The rumour about Kate died the death when she a) was white water rafting (not allowed if pregnant) b) drinking red wine at a winery - and no royal would take alcohol if pregnant. So we can get back to the imminent threat of war in the Ukraine, Oscar Pistorius's shooting and general climate change - but that is just too much - so what about whether Rory McIlroy has broken up with his Polish tennis player girlfriend - now that is real news!!!

As for us - we are getting some sunshine and it is the most wonderful time when the trees start producing leaves - and there is a bright, fresh green over the branches - quite the best time of year. But the bluebells are not out yet.

Stayed up to watch Bubba Watson win the Masters Golf at Augusta last night - and all the icons of family life were there - nice wife, small child - all the things which give stability to a man (note that Rory McIlroy - it is not about shagging really healthy tennis players) - and Bubba became a blubber at the end.
