A Day Full of Things Starting With P in Everyday Ramblings

Back in the real world. It is cold here. That will put a bit of a damper on street protests but not voting, I hope.

I am trying to hold hope as a sister state of mind during this difficult time we are all experiencing and the crude raw greed that is blatantly evident here in our national politics.

And gratitude also remains front and center as the temperatures drop below freezing. Gratitude that I have heat and access to food and a roof overhead. Yesterday I was thrilled to see a masked handyman working on all the lights around the place. That should help a little with those that are addicted and local and looking for dark out of the way corners to hang out in.

One of the many things I enjoyed at the beach this year was lack of visible markers of what it truly a crisis with housing and addiction in our world

Diego started sneezing sometime this weekend. His appetite and energy are good, and I have a note in for the vet. My cat sitter thinks he caught a bug because he is immunosuppressed with the steroids he is taking. I was alarmed when Carlo sneezed this morning.

I need to be very careful when interacting with other animals, or people with animals now. I’ll be using hand sanitizer as soon as I leave and keeping my mask on at all times out there.

In a few hours I have a routine ophthalmology appointment. They will dilate my eyes so it will be a quiet afternoon and evening.

In my Imperfect box yesterday, I received a couple of pomegranates and a couple of persimmons. They also threw in a carton of pamplemousse flavored sparkling water. It must be the week for P things.

The pamplemousse reminds me of Tahiti.

That’s it; a cold clear Fall day trying not to get too spun out about the news and trying to stay safe and keep other’s safe.

There is so much going on…the awful fires in California for one, that make our hearts hurt.

Yep. There is so much to be grateful for and that is where I am going to focus on.

Not taking anything for granted is a good place to start.
