We woke to sun shine this morning, even with the curtains drawn light was still flooding in, a little when I took Ziggy out there was no doubting the air was still cold! Our spring is now at a stage that we notice changes each day, flowers are blooming and leaf bud is spreading. The spring season this year might be cold, but it is much better than last year, then it was very cold not just cold.

With this weather the agility classes are back in there usual routine, Lola’s class has been moved to eleven o clock, Ziggy’s is still at twelve thirty so we have finished by one thirty. It was good to watch the three dogs walking calmly from the agility field, the three owners enjoying a chat as they walked to their cars, of course one of the calm dogs was Ziggy; he has come on so much in the last year. It’s good to have the afternoon now, before agility took eleven forty-five to three o clock, tacking up the whole middle day of Sunday.

Now we have a quiet lunch as Ziggy and Lola take a rest, and I got my camera a tripod out. Over the drive where it twists towards to the lane, a branch of Blackthorn is in flower, not an easy place to photograph the small flowers, from the patio I can’t see them; from the drive they are to far away or well above my head.

So I set my tripod at the top of the steps from the drive, my 80 – 200mm lens wasn’t long enough to get the image I wanted. With the spring blooming around us I attached the macro lens to my camera, the sun light wasn’t too strong so I wondered round the garden, the patio and middle lawn, then up to the meadow. Looking back I realized I didn’t go down to the drive; well some thing for an other day ……

Spring in our garden, both cultivated and wild!
