                                     Hi there Readers,
I really can't resist a challenge.Especially from someone I regard as a very dear friend.Against all my present principles that it takes 2 to cause an arguement,I AM going to make a comment on Climate Change. This is in response to Curious Gypsy Spirits question in her last entry about looking at Mars.Quote:'C'mon Climate change skeptics, can you still deny climate change?'
As anyone who has read any of my entries in the old OD will recall,I do not believe that man-made climate change exists.I refuse to believe that we are doomed.Until someone can convince me otherwise, that situation will not change.I have read widely on this matter and all the debates ,for and against.Nothing has convinced me.Climate change believers base their evidence on Computer models reaching 50-100 years hence.
The tenor of the question is what disturbs me.For instance:by inference,we now have a situation of 'them and us.''If you do not agree with me,you are not worthy and you are wrong!''How can you not believe me?'
I personally, take issue with this inference.I have always believed that everyone is entitled to their opinion and on the basis of that opinion,to believe what they wish.I allow for others opinions as they are entitled to that, and some of these are quite contentious:eg religious beliefs, political views, and if I find an issue with that belief,I can argue as long as I do it in a sensible and information based manner. Then if we still can't agree, well, I agree to differ. And,at 70 years of age and having married a person who insisted I have a really good basis for an arguement, I have had plenty of practice.
So, in answer, without going into detail, to Curious Gypsy aka Polz, yes,I still deny that man-made climate change exists. And

notice that I am quite specific.MAN MADE CLIMATE CHANGE.This is because there is very clear evidence that we have always had climate extremes. And there is so much evidence to support this that I will not detail it.Just don't expect me to believe that you are right and I am wrong.I am entitled to my opinion. Also there is so much information available on all the internet sites and in other media, we all have a so-called informed opinion. That is very healthy. However, don't minimise my worth by my opinion, and if you do fling out a challenge like this , expect an answer in return. Okay, thats enough.I am beginning to doubt that anyone will read this anyway as I haven't been of a mind to note as I am finding it difficult to warm to this site and it mucks up my entries and takes an age to log on etc.I hope I can continue. We are all fine in my family except for my young grandson Jimmy,Janets lad.For 2 weeks now and with 2 series of anti-biotics,he has been battling abcesses on his perineam on his anus.He has been in hospital once and is still spiking temps and in pain and the abcesses are still suppurating. He is 9.He cannot attend school as he needs at least an hour and a half of careful evacuating his bowel in the morning then the disinfecting of the site and the dressing f the site then pain relief. My daughter Janet , his mum, is a trained registered nurse and one of the Island's senior district nurses so she does all that besides working 3-4 days a week. The little lad is so brave and stoic and in so much pain and embarassment that my heart goes out to him.He is being re-assessed next week and may have to have more surgery. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Personally speaking,I am loving the weather.I detest winter,so a prolonged summer is a delight!!It will end, probably around Easter, and it has been raining down country a lot and we had a good fall here last night! Perspectives and different opinions!Ah we humans are so predictable!Even more so now when we all have access to so much information!Have the courage of your own convictions ,be oen to others, and be true to yourself! BTW.I LOVE having the Royals here.Very unstuffy these young ones and very open and the baby George is a lovely baby. Well, I do hope that Prosebox doesn't massacre my entry, and that you are well and happy and always be kind to each other, Lots of love, Majimazexxxx

not wanting a debate at this time I must simply say that I did not mention man made in my climate change comment. We all accept change happens naturally all the time and such things do happen like this cyclically, but I believe ( as you know) that human beings have actually hastened and increased the extent of it all. We cannot change change but we can learn to adapt best we can. That is what I was trying to say. thanks for the wishes for tonight. hugs p

So sorry to read about your grandson. I will keep him in my prayers.

I agree with you about man-made climate change. Basically those that will benefit the most from making changes because of climate change (used to be global warming) are the ones that promote it the most. Al Gore, who if you research, leaves one of the biggest carbon footprints a single person can leave.

Your poor grandson. It sounds like using an essential oil that fights bacteria or viruses or even an herb, etc. Something natural may help heal. I'm a firm believer in using colloidal Silver and it will not interfere with the antibiotics and may actually get the healing process started.
