Mickey and Peaches in blackpropaganda

Two very different icons have died - one at 93 and one at 25 - Mickey Rooney, born Joe Jule Jnr - and Peaches Honeyblossom Michelle Charlotte Angel Vanessa Geldof - daughter of Paula Yates, who died of an heroin overdose when Peaches was eleven, and the sainted Bob.

Both courted the celebrity lifestyle in very different periods - and also extremes of drink and drugs - Peaches had married and had two boys under two - Mickey married eight times - and was bankrupted twice.

Of course there was more shock in the UK over the death of Peaches - unexplained so far - than Rooney - - he had more than lived his life. He coped with his problems - but could Peaches who lived in the shadow of her mum? And even Paula had a problem of identity, believing she was the daughter of Jess Yates and finding out she was actually fathered by the tv personality Hughie Green.
