Deconstructed Taco? in Food Porn

I don't watch a lot of TV. And when it comes to purposely 'following' a TV show I really only have the time/capacity for one at at time. One thing I do like to do though is to watch (or just have on in the background while I'm doing something) cooking shows. Not for any particular recipes, but for food knowledge; so when I do get in the kitchen to cook I have a pretty good idea that I'm going to do okay.

I'm pretty happy with how the following turned out. I don't really know what I was going for when I decided on the ingredients, but I'm going to call it a Deconstructed (Chicken) Taco Over Rice.

That right there is a gorgeous medley of flavours! Rice in the bottom of the bowl with a dollop of sour cream nestled in the middle, my happy chicken concoction from the slow cooker (including [but not limited to] diced tomatos, black beans, sweet corn, mmmmm), shredded cheese and crushed white corn tortillas on top.

It was well received for sure, and was one of those meals that you could smell cooking when you walked into the kitchen (which you have to do to get to my living room). Everybody but myself and Tasha went back for seconds, and I gave the remaining leftovers to Darkman the next day who also loved it.
