Getting Ready in In the Meadow

We have been having a fairly nice August, all things considered. Kayla and Timmy worked at the day camp until last week. They have to quarantine before college, and being around lots of kids would not have been a good idea. College is in flux right now. The current plan is that they will move on campus next week. If they end up coming back before the semester is over or going all virtual, their classes still look very interesting. They have put a lot of planning into the virtual classes. There was also a lot of planning for the residence halls. I think they are prepared if they are able to live on campus.

It is hard to believe that in a week the twins may not be living here. I might not see them for a couple of months. Working at the day camp has helped us get used to being apart. They were home a lot of the time when school went virtual in March.

They have supplies for their rooms, bank accounts, snacks, and electronics. First year students who live on campus don’t have cars. Just about everything they need is within walking distance, and they can get mail and packages at school.

Timmy and Kayla went on a trip to the Jersey Shore with their dad. We are hoping to take a longer trip when there are not so many travel restrictions.

Aaron has been getting ready for cross-country. They are hoping to have a modified season. Right now the plan is that they will be in school half time and have virtual school the rest of the time.
