a cup filled with maybes in poetry

am I indecisive or not?
I don't know I'm not sure
I'll have to think about it some more
I'll have to talk it through

do I have a hard time
trying to make up my mind?
do I experience difficulty
coming to a decision?
that's a good question
I'll have to ask around

I told myself
then I found a fortune cookie
laid upon my little table

and the fortune cookie said
"you are almost there"
from your crust to the ears
of The Great Magnet In Space
noble sweetbread

"you are almost there"
I sure hope that it is right
but I'm not sure
I have my doubts
I fear the fates
have already
sorted me out

or hell
maybe not
maybe I have some
swings in me yet
so I'll follow the cookie
but not make any bets
