Did it work? in blackpropaganda

Even though we had heard all the April Fool stuff in the newspapers and commented on it I did manage one on SW... Sauntered into the garage where the boiler is and then came out and said, 'I have to phone the boiler man - it is leaking' - the key point being that this is our worst nightmare - and it could be true. It was only half successful since having taken the bait and then been called AF she pointed out I had failed to call the boiler man about something else - so there!!!

In some of our tabloids you do wonder if every day they have a story which is a joke - mainly the Daily Express which mainly tells you that the direst weather ever is about to descend on you. I do wonder why anyone believes anything in that paper.

Anyway - it has been a lovely day - really springlike - enough for me to dig over the vegetable patch ready for putting in my potatoes (is that the title of a risque song?) - and then take a walk by the river.

And now we are told rather than five bits of fruit and veg a day we should have seven - was that an AF joke - no, but I shall find it very difficult - anyway I did find a joke in French
