Wanna hear something funny? in Weight Loss Surgery

After my moaning about not losing weight earlier this week, I dropped 5 lbs.
WTH.
AND my new weight loss surgeon said NOT to lose weight!
He called me to confirm I have to wait the max time of BCBS, which is 6 months before qualifying for surgery.
Boo Hoo.
And so I have to maintain for 6 months to better show I can’t lose weight.
So now it’s like… I don’t even know how to eat!
I can’t go hog wild and gain - but I don’t need to keep following the Bariastic app where I’m trying to get all the protein in to lose.
Actually, closer to the surgery they will put me on a liquid diet to shrink my liver so it’s not in the way while the do their surgery. And if I lose weight at that point it’s ok. But right now… I’m not supposed to.
And I’ve never told had to control my diet to NOT lose weight and maintain.
I don’t like the weight I am. I wasn’t looking forward to spending all summer like this. I have the trainer still. I am at the highest weight I’ve ever been. Even last year’s summer clothes aren’t super comfortable. And now I’m supposed to stay like this?
The thing is - I don’t have a great track record with losing weight. If the past is anything like the future I’d probably end the year even HIGHER than I am right now - which I don’t want, it just seems to happen.
And it can’t happen. I can’t gain.. much - cause I’m basically eating myself to death. It’s just weird to always be on a diet and never lose weight. So now I’m told not to lose weight - should I still diet since it doesn’t usually work?
I just feel like NOW I’m gonna lose weight cause I was told I’m not supposed to.
