8 of Pentacles in Weight Loss Surgery

8 of pentacles seems to be a simple and easy card. It shows a person carving the pentacle star into coins (the coins are more the size of plates) but it seems like a easy enjoyable job. The carver is sitting on a bench outside.

The book says this person is an apprentice, not a master, but he is proud of his trade and is learning be is skillful so he can be profitable.

I guess this could mean my job or my ornament stuff. I’m still doing them btw. I just don’t promote them much online cause no one cares. They really only sell when people see them in person at a fair. There’s a possibility that the winter holiday markets will be open this year, which is great because that’s the ones I intended to focus on this year before the Covid.

Last year I had done a bunch a summer craft fairs and when I tried to get the winter holiday ones they were sold out of spaces super early. So this year I planned on skipping most of the summer ones and focusing on checking the websites to make sure to get a spot at the winter ones but everything is up in the air right now…

This guy working out doors maybe means I should promote more, but I don’t feel comfortable doing so.

It seems weird that so many of my recent cards I could tie into my weight loss surgery plans but I don’t really know about this one. Crafting my body? Well I guess the doctor is doing that, not me.

The thing I keep thinking about is my friend that I joined the gym with. The one that is heavier than me with the hip issues. The one that kept flaking on the gym in the mornings lol so then we thought maybe we should quit but I got that personal trainer. She did quit. She says she exercises at home but I don’t know - or care, I’m not her keeper.

ANYWAY I keep thinking, if this goes well for me I’ll tell her about my experience because I believe she could really benefit from it.

I actually don’t know why she hasn’t done it yet. She’s older and bigger than me. We’ve never talked about it, but up until last month I never really thought I would do it.

She also has a lot more health issues than me so maybe there’s something medically preventing her from getting it?

Or maybe it’s cost. She’s a teacher, and I don’t know if they have good insurance that would cover something like this or if she’d be able to take the time off.

Really, depending on pain, you don’t need much time off. I think she would milk needing the time off but she doesn’t really like her job. I like my job and want to get back after surgery as smoothly as possible.

Some people take a lot of time off. They say the pain is intense and their body is very tired for weeks after. Part of that tiredness is the fact that you’re getting no where need the calories you used to eat.

But other people say they only needed the pain meds for a few days and then they were back to driving and working. There are restrictions on lifting things but my job doesn’t require me to lift anything. Actually the cat feeding/trapping I do has me lifting more - but I don’t have to do any of that if I don’t want to.

I don’t really eat my lunch with anyone so they won’t notice if I’m just eating a spoonful of yogurt or something in the beginning.

I don’t know when I would let my job know…

If I can get away with maybe having the surgery on a weekend and working from home a few days, I would come into work like nothing happened and then wait till they noticed the weight loss to tell them.

I don’t know how quickly I’ll lose. Some people lose 15lbs a month, some people lose 5. It depends on what you’re eating and everyone’s body is different. Some people’s bodies really stall out and hold on to the fat they have for a while before finally relenting and losing weight.

But the point is, with the little amount you’re eating, you’re going to lose.

I plan on following the diets strictly and losing as much as I can early on, cause as time goes on and your body starts to be able to handle regular food again, your weight loss will slow down.

Speaking of losing weight - the first thing I did after waking up this morning was the same as last night. I really don’t know what’s fucked up my stomach.
Yesterday I had some crackers - and that was a no no. Then later in the day I was more hungry and I had some soup - that was a no no too.
So today I know I’m gonna be hungry but I don’t know what’s safe?

I got on the scale and I have lost nothing. I’m still at the highest weight I’ve ever been. I’ve only been using the new food tracking app a few days but then I had diarrhea for a whole days so I thought the scale would budge, and no. Disappointing…
