furniture saga in Second 1st

It was real strange yesterday. We’d decided to take the couch to GoodWill. I actually believe we bought it there for $20 when we bought the house in 2016. We’d also gotten a free “bigman” chair with the intention of getting something better later. We haven’t.... but we intended to. So now with getting Rocky a recliner we had to choose one to go out. The one that was chosen was the couch I usually sit on with the idea that I would now have the “bigman” chair Rocky usually has. .... he’s been sitting in an office rolling chair so the “bigman” was covered in random stuff. .... I digress

Yesterday, I guess cause he was excited?… Rocky woke at 6:45.... got dressed and was ready to go by 7:15.... I made sure he understood I couldn’t eat breakfast till 8:15 and he started a list of things he wanted out of his morning. THIS is the strange thing. THIS NEVER HAPPENS..... so he mentioned that he needed a phone card and some chocolate milk at Wal-Mart. I told him about the package that absolutely needed to get put in a box somewhere. He said after that it would be time for breakfast.... well after we loaded the couch into the van.

It took some work but it was in the van with a full pallet … I still haven’t been working on it because I”m not ready to meet random people yet.... I’m still trying to stay home.... ANYWAYS.... we loaded it but took the car for breakfast and WM then came back and took the van to Goodwill. The kid said they didn’t want it because of stains that did not exist .... so Rocky convinced the neighbor to take it.... whatever, not my problem now.

“bigman” chair sucks.... the armrests have no padding and the back is horribly sunk so all the cushion is at your butt.... but I don’t sit out there much so it’s not that big a deal I guess.

This feels like a very jumpy entry.... When we were getting ready to leave in the van he said something about getting up at 8:30 everyday. I scoffed and he said ” I have been” .... I said “Do I need to buy a calendar and keep track” “whatever”..... I dropped it … he dropped it.... rest of day was okay.

When we got back he took his online classes for that ticket he’d gotten and I cleaned the living room so I could have a chair to sit in. Then we watched NCIS till I had to go to bed.... a good 6 episodes.

Today, we don’t have much of anything planned. I know he’s not getting up at 8:30 but he might just to throw me off. Like fishing for an apology..... but I’m not dumb. He slept till 3:30 Sunday “because he was sick” then he’s fine for the rest of the week?.... cool… not how being sick works but okay. He may also be excited today because the chair is supposed to come and he’s got a guy coming to quote the gutters today at 3. He’d scheduled 2 others the other day but neither showed up. You’d think people would want the job..... especially now.....

it’s been raining off and on this morning and it’s been raining almost every day this week so I’ve been off balance and headache.... wonderful life....

Talked to Destiny this morning. Spent some time talking about how I could go to Rent a center or Aaron’s and get a sectional.... and I explained to her why that’s not how I would prefer to do it and why. I don’t look down on anyone who does because for those who just can’t SAVE money it works in order to get them things ..... but it costs nearly twice as much in the long run..... just not for me when we are trying to pay off loans.

In fact if my hip wasn’t bothering me this whole recliner thing wouldn’t have come up at all and as much as I’d like to get the Christmas tree down (stupid deal with Rocky about a sectional) I honestly don’t feel we are justified in spending to have “nice” things right now.
