Life's Ironies! in 2020

Life’s Ironies! I finally am scheduled to see an ear doctor tomorrow. I saw one in March for a problem and I was to return the next week. But the office closed. I’ve been newly deaf in my right ear for the last three weeks. Pretty excited to be scheduled finally. Ironically, new hearing aids were tested for in March just before the shut down, and they arrived for curb pickup (!) a bit more than two weeks ago. But I can’t do a final test and say that they are working well for me until I can also hear from my right ear. Left ear hearing when wearing the new hearing aid is much more robust, however. My close friends and family know that a deeper hearing loss even when wearing former hearing aids has been dogging me for quite a long time.

So ironic to be trying to possibly have my need met in this medical period of the corona virus shut down of offices and service. Also ironic is that my greatest complaint was in not hearing the soft voices in groups – and I cannot be in groups now at all.
