The computer keeps telling me that the script on this page is running too slowly and to continue might damage something-or-other.

So I'll be brief. When Heath called today to get 4 people on one of our tours, he said "Jaime and I want to get together with you soon to talk about the job". When I was done with work today, I called him, it was convenient for them, so I went to their house to talk privately.

That I was offered the job was a given...Heath wanted to explain what he needed and how he thought I could help his organization. We all three talked about lots of things in the hour I was there. He has a lot of computer 'automation' for lack of a better word, all in the cloud for access anywhere. Info in, exactly what they need comes out.

He wants me to start on reservations in October. I told him let's wait 2 weeks so I can have a small vacation before I begin to learn a new system, etc. He said they had thought about setting up an area in their house for that, but then weren't sure. I told him if I had a laptop I could do just as I have with Greg--work at home

Heath wants to set up a printer/fax/copier for me as well as a new laptop. He said he wants to pay the internet expense--I told him we have that expense anyway but if he thinks we should upgrade the speed and gigs, he could pay for that extra. Also a credit card machine so I don't have to go anywhere to charge customers.

Heath also had a concern about how to get the phone calls that come into their 2 office lines to me...he suggested that he might want to pay for another landline in my house. I shook my head, held out my cellphone and said "get call forwarding on both those lines, then forward them to me--I'll need a cellphone too." An excellent idea that hadn't occurred to anyone there. He said "I'll get you a new I-phone" "OH NO! I said, I love my samsung galaxy" A bit more discussion resulted in my getting an iphone on his account and would learn to use it...

I will take a cut in pay of almost $2 an hour to begin. I'm good with that, doing tour sales AND retail all day today just solidified in my mind that I really, really need to get out of a place where I have to deal with retail...he said when he found I was doing a great job and lived up to my hype of myself, he would consider a raise.

He also said that he likes to pay people as well as he can but that he also gives bonuses at the end of the year based on profit. He said last year everyone got a $2500 bonus the end of September. I can go with that just fine.

Okay, so I have agreed to take the job. I won' t tell anyone until after season is over. After all, I will have no duties after September 25 because Madame will be doing the reservations, etc. I will let them know probably October 1 after we all ahve a few days downtime from season.

hub was not real happy about the pay cut, but I explained to him that getting out of the dysfunction and chaos, getting away from retail, and moving on is worth taking a pay cut. If I am wrong, so be it...

Okay, gotta go before something awful happens to my puter because of the script running so slow here (or so my machine tellsl me) Blessed be!
