This Province in A Day in the Life of Me

Is strong, and we will rise again.
It has been a shit show here since Sunday. Well, Saturday night really, but most of us didn’t know what was happening until Sunday morning.
A man I will not name went on a senseless killing spree. He killed 22 people, including 1 RCMP Officer.
Another was injured but he has since returned home.
He had multiple RCMP replicated cars (old cars bought at auction then he re-decaled), as well as an RCMP uniform.
He initially avoided detainment thanks that..
We still don’t have all the details.
Seems most of the victims were known to him
But in the end, Fate was on the side of the officers as he stopped somewhere where an unmarked K-9 Unit was.
Today, several ‘Incidents’ sprung up around the city, all unrelated, and all false alarms.
The panic that ensued, and the posts seen all over FB all unverified being passed around as if they were, did not help. Reports like 6 people had died that was false, and that there was several active shooters in various parts of the city.
My Mother, who’s already concerned enough with us being here with the stupid virus shit going on, has been stressing out 3ish hrs away.
And to all the people blasting the RCMP, please just stop.
You were not there. You were not in their boots to see what they were dealing with.
It’s easy to sit behind a keyboard and criticize, because you feel they didn’t release anything fast enough, but they had so much coming in at once all spread out over an area to deal with not having anything concrete to go off of.
This is the first and hopefully the last time something like this happens in this province.
It’s also Anzac Day in Australia, so my Husband is already emotional with out all this stuff going on.
if you do not know this song, please look it up. They are also part of this beautiful little province.
Rankin Family - Rise Again
When the waves roll on over the waters
And the ocean cries
We look to our sons and daughters
To explain our lives
As if a child could tell us why
That as sure as the sunrise
As sure as the sea
As sure as the wind in the trees
We rise again in the faces
Of our children
We rise again in the voices of our song
We rise again in the waves out on the ocean
And then we rise again
When the light goes dark with the forces of creation
Across a stormy sky
We look to reincarnation to explain our lives
As if a child could tell us why
That as sure as the sunrise
As sure as the sea
As sure as the wind in the trees
We rise again in the faces
Of our children
We rise again in the voices of our song
We rise again in the waves out on the ocean
And then we rise again
We rise again in the faces
Of our children
We rise again in the voices of our song
We rise again in the waves out on the ocean
And then we rise again
