Have you guys ever heard of mud runs? Like the Tough Mudder or the Warrior Dash? Apparently I am doing a 6 mile mud run / military style obstacle course in Watertown with some friends this summer. It's a fund raiser for the Special Olympics.
Why do it? Because I've never done one before. And it sounds like fun.
Since 6 miles is about the same as a 10K, We are going to start training for it right away. Haley and I are going to start doing our Jillian Michaels again, and start adding running and strength training into it too. To be frank, I'm not concerned about any part of it. I've studied some of the obstacles online and I know I won't be the weak member of our team (there are other people in addition to Haley and I).
So that's something. I wonder if I have to start eating healthier. If I have to give up drinking my can of coke a day it's game over. I think I love coke more than life itself. It's my one guilty pleasure. If I have to switch to drinking more water I will have to buy another PUR pitcher with filter, because drinking the tap water in Huron gives me a stomach ache. What is all that white crusty stuff anyway??! Why does it taste like blood when it's warm? UGH. I just don't want to shell out the $35 for another one. (We have one at home - I would need one for work. We have a water cooler at the bank)
I washed my car yesterday at the airport since it was SO dirty. I washed the engine compartment too, trying to get some of that axle grease out of where it doesn't belong. It looks so much better but it still stinks a bit. I guess I will just have to wait for it to wear off. I also noticed I'm losing a ton of paint on the front bumper, and the places where the paint was coming off before (wheel wells) is looking SO MUCH worse. I've got to get to Sioux Falls and get it inspected ASAP. Too bad my schedule is ridiculous. Sick leave? Maybe? :(
ALSO! Our eagles had an egg hatch. You have no idea how excited I was to see a tiny pink baby eagle foot. I got way more excited about those little pink feets then about any human baby I've met yet. http://www.webcams.dnr.state.mn.us/eagle/ It's just genuinely cool. Nate's sister and I decided that baby animals are just waaay cooler than human babies.
That's all I got, <3 Sarah
