This morning it was just me and Ziggy at home, Sweetheart and Daughter were taking Lola to her groomer, she goes to a lady just half and hour away; and a two minute walk from a descent beach. Walking on the beach for two hours was out of the question to day, high wind and plenty of rain; so they took shelter in a near Tesco – yes it was that wet!
Lola after the groomers.
They retuned about twelve thirty, and by then the rough weather had followed them to Perranporth, it seemed a good time to take Ziggy to the beach; a busy beach hasn’t been a good place for him. He is a much calmer dog these days, so a trip to the beach in that weather meant there were be only the most keen dog walkers would be out; and that is just what it was like.
Gloomy day on Perranporth beach.
It was Ziggy and Daughter plus three or four people with dogs, those without dogs were not there, so those few had the three miles of beach all to there self’s, I remained in the car! The wind and rain was quite cold and soon the screen was misted up, so I wasn’t watching the beach very much so I settled back with my Kindle, reading ‘The Wicked Wit of Winston Churchill’ I’m only a few pages in, I quite liked this one ‘The Conservative Party is not a party but a conspiracy’ I’ve heard the tories often mention there great wartime leader but not this little witticism!

Does the groomer spray paint red colour on Lola's lower mouth? Or is she a partial redhead?

Lola’s rustic chin is probably cased by my use of Photo-shop, some reflection of the carpet and from her raw meat diet, both dog’s have raw meat; which we buy in frozen! Sweetheart is very careful with their diet, we lost our first Breadie – a female called Daisy – who died of cancer aged seven, she always had a delicate stomach, we tried all sorts of feeds for her. Thankfully Ziggy seems a more resilient dog, Jo who dose the agility classes recommend the raw meat, it is a mix of meat, vegetables and bone; and they seem well on it. Lola enjoys it always licking her bow sparkling clean, and mops up any residue with her chin; but doesn’t look quite so rosy about her chin normally!

Love the Churchill quote. I remember reading his My Early Life for O level more years ago than I care to admit. He had a great sense of humour. What cute little dogs you have.

Look at ominous Perronporth beach through your rainy windshield, right? Those are ghostly photos, no wonder only dog walkers ventured out! How do the women allow that? "wink"
