You can now delete or hide (make private) comments:
- You left
- You received to your comment
- On an entry you wrote
There is no time limit; you can delete these comments whenever. There's still no option to edit a comment, but I figure you can delete your mistake and then try again.
It should be more intuitive than the old comment deletion functionality. On the entry page, there are now icons (an X for delete, an eye with a slash through it for hide/privatize) off to the right side on comments that you have the power to delete or hide. It's on a comment by comment basis, and you'll receive a confirmation screen before it actually happens.

This is totally, amazingly, awesome. I actually read this, first thing I came here. Then, I went to my Bookmarks list and read my first friend's new entry. Well, I noted her, and intended to make it private, but, forgot. I hated that at OD, because it had to be public, until the owner came back on, and saw your request. But, I remembered your post, and tried privatizing it "after the fact." Voila" !!!!!! It worked and this makes me VERY happy. THANK YOU AND THANK YOU!!!!!!!
