Me 3rd week of Feb 2004 and today 2014 in Grandma and me

Me Monday - 3/15/2004 Another thrilling day at work. The boss and I continue to not see eye to eye. I told my old old supervisor I was going to start asking her all my questions. She didnt think that would be a good idea until I told her some of the answers I was getting out of new boss then she kind of changed her story.

I think Im making progress with Gabby and the other cats getting along. I left the door to my room open by mistake when I went back to work after lunch, and when I got home tonight I could not see any signs of blood shed.

im reading a good book now. Its a mystery called Bubbles Unbound. If you like the Janet Evanovich books you would like this one.

Me Tue 3/16/2004 Pepe and Snoopy are brilliant! They were all telling Gateway to get the hell out of their yard last night VERY loudly so I made them all come inside and I shut the door to the cat run. This morning when I got up I couldn't find Snoopy and Pepe so I looked out the door and there they were in the cat run.They must have pawed at it until they got it to slid open and then it slid shut after them. I dont know if they couldn't do it a second time to get back in or if they just didn't want to try. I know they were not out there long though since I had to break up a fight between Gabby and Snoopy around six this morning. :(

The new boss and I had another occasion where we did not agree on how to proceed. Ive decided Im just not going to ask her any questions. I have done this job for ten years. By now I should trust my own judgement. I usually just want someone to tell me that Im on the right track but when I ask new boss she goes off in a different direction.

I should be trying to get along with her better since my annual review is next week. :) Come April 8th I will have worked there 17 years!

Me 3/17/2004

It was a half way nice day here today so I took a tour of my backyard during my lunch. My fingers were itching to get a little hand rake and some garden shears and start clearing away the dead foliage. Instead I had to go back to work. Its supposed to be in the seventies on Friday. I wish I could stay home this weekend and putter in the garden. I already promised Grandma I would go to the farm though. I should have fun at the farm with all the new little calves, one of my Uncles calves had twins yesterday, and I really need to clear away the dead foliage around the flowers at my Grandma's too.

My work out partner, Viv, has had the flu since Saturday so Ive been bad and not gone at all this week. I finally got back to it today. I feel so much better when I make myself go.

I needed all the exercise I could get today after all the eating I did. Of course we had a snack day. Jeri brought a Rueben in a crock pot! It was really good with chips. She had a little loaf of the rye bread but it was better with chips! Sara brought a German Chocloate Cake which was good too. The rest of us just brought a bunch of junk from the grocery store.

Me 3/19/2004 Rats! With OD being down last night I didnt get to make an entry. Thereby ending my almost two months of daily writing. Since the streak is ended I dont think I will try to write from the farm tomorrow night.So do you think I went to bed early? Of course not! I surfed the net until about midnight waiting for OD to come back on before finally turning the lights out at midnight. Then I couldnt go to sleep no matter how hard I tried. I hate nights light that! Luckily they dont happen very often. My grandma says they will come more often the older I get.

I had to get up two hours early since I had to work two hours of overtime today. So I was running on four hours of sleep. I was lucky though in that the day wemt by really quickly. I had work piling up faster than I could do it so I was going from one project to another.

I need to give up trying to listen to audio books when I audit. Im not able to concentrate on what Im auditing so I made some stupid mistakes. For some reason I can write letters while listening to an audio book I just cant audit other peoples letters.

The book Im listening to is All Is Vanity by Christina Schwartz. Her first book Drowning Ruth was fantastic, and Ive been wanting to read another book by her for ages. Im almost done with the book, and I dont care for it as much as I did her first book. It gets off to real slow start which when you get to end you understand why it had to be paced that way but that didnt help me during the first four tapes. :)

I went to the library on my lunch break to pick up my holds. I got the other two Bubbles books, and I started the next one in the called Bubbles In Trouble. I also got some more Anne George Southern Sisters books. I also ended up with a mystery book that I dont remember putting a hold on called The way the crow flies.

Me Thursday Mar 20, 2014 I have to shake my head every time I read about how I kept thinking Gabby and the other cats were getting along. Then the vey next day I would have to write about a fight. Poor Gabby. Only person that loved him was me.
