The equinox was at 16:57GMT today. Spring is officially here! Although it said hello with a whole day of torrential rain. Great! Everything is budding, though, which is nice. All our plants that Jay's mam hacked back five months ago are finally starting to bud again! So our garden will look all pretty and green in no time :o) All the daffodils are out in the park and I rescued some of the ones that had snapped stalks and brought them home. When I was a child, me and dad would go to the local park, where there were millions of daffodils as it was the town of Wordsworth's birth. We would come back with armfuls of snapped stemmed rescued daffodils which brightened up the house :o)

Jay bought us tickets to go and see Noel Fielding in October. Great. I hated The Mighty Boosh and Luxury Comedy, it was just "Look how weird and quirky and zany we are! Let's just do a load of weird stuff and everyone will laugh at it." I do sometimes like him on the panel shows, he seems intelligent and witty, but I have no idea what his stand up is like. We're on the second row so he'll be able to see us and I'm going to have to pretend to laugh even if it's not funny. Plus, Rob and Angi are coming with us, who are also big fans like Jay so the whole night will be full of in-jokes. Meh.

In nice news, I've been invited to Jaxx's birthday shenanigans in Loughborough next weekend :o) After complaining I have no friends, and Abi messaged me today asking when we can meet next. The birthday shenanigans are either a rock club in Nottingham or making sushi at Jaxx's house. A bit of a difference there, but she's going with the most popular choice. I don't like sushi but I'll go anyway just to see everyone!

I could complain more about work but that's becoming boring. I've got my annual appraisal coming up and I have a lot to talk about, mainly being left to do all the work on my own more often than not and not having any support. That's if my boss can find five minutes in her schedule that takes her all over Europe but hardly ever into our attention.

Blah.
