Life comes at you fast, right?
One second you’re some awkward, teenage grocery store bagger working for minimum wage with more friends than you could count. (Book 1)
Next second you’re in university dealing with an enormous amount of stress that you never could have imagined. (Book 2)
Then, you’re over the road as a professional truck driver traveling the entire country and seeing sights you’d never thought you’d see. (Book 3)
… Then, next second, due to a series of events that lined up so perfectly you can’t even begin to comprehend how it all happened, you wind up living in Tennessee, moved in with your girlfriend, and you’re now an exterminator. Or, rather, a “pest control technician.” (Now: Book 4)
How’s it been, fellas? It’s been awhile.
I’m not gonna lie and say me getting back to writing is going to be a regular thing. I’m a lazy procrastinator and most of my days are hella busy. I just needed to talk for a second.
A lot has happened. I’ve lost people. If I were to tell you how many friends I have left, I’m not sure I could give you an honest answer. Being over the road as a truck driver killed my social life. A lot of friends moved on. I’m not blaming them, it just sucks.
Not on very good terms with my father at the moment. I haven’t spoken to him since October. Maybe I’ll talk more about that later. Longest we’ve even been without talking by a long time.
Me and my girlfriend moved in together. I moved all the way out to Tennessee to be with her. Some days it’s frustrating, but I’m trying my best to make things work. She just lost her job recently, so taking on all the bills myself if a little hectic, but we’ll get through it.
Filling up my truck now, about to head to some termite treatment. 200 gallons worth of product. It takes a village.
Maybe I’ll write again tonight when. I have more time. I dunno, I’m on a “binge” right now, I feel.
Until then, this is (as always) UrbanEx signing off…
