What do I say without it sounding like I'm doing a profile for a dating site? I'm a transferee from OD, live near London in the UK and work full time. I like dry humour, hate slapstick and love sarcasm. I throw things at my computer and chuck my phone across the room when the automatic spell check makes me spell words incorrectly - like "recognize" instead of "recognise". I like reading well-written rants by other diarists.
Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.

The flip side of yesterday in Work

The system is failing people / bit of a rant in Work

Apart from pouring it down the sink in A mish mash of entries

18 months of horribleness in Work
18 months ago, we learned of another restructure at work. Not unexpected really, as I worked in a local authority and they were, and still are, having to cut spending by stupid amounts. I didn’...
I miss OD in A mish mash of entries
Somehow I never managed to feel at home here in the same way that I did in OD. I stopped making entries completely for 18 months or so and investigated Facebook properly (still don’t like it), k...
Targeted ads in A mish mash of entries
Targeted ads both annoy and scare me. Presumably from the depths of a clever website that somehow got me to input my age, I'm getting ad after ad HERE ON PROSEBOX about services for (choose here...
Like lots of offices, we have a sweepstake at work in our team. I drew England. My until-recently-boss drew Brazil. She, who knows nothing about football, said, "Oh, just my luck, I wanted Eng...

Quickie as I’m off to work in a minute. Girlfriend is still here and she and son seem to be getting on fine, although they’re not particularly touchy-feely (but that might just be in front of me...
