I prefer the term childlike to childish, it had a more mature ring to it. To me I'm me. Determined, understanding with a little bit of a temper. I'm married and have children. I also have a brother and two sisters, I work in a school with various kids who need a little extra help, one way or another. And to all those people I imagine that I'm someone slightly different, depending on their needs. Once you read me I will become, to you, who you need me to be.

Let's Go Diem the Carpe!

My first real memory is of li’l sis being born. It’s a series of snap shots and gifs in my mind but they all blend together to create this memory. I remember that it was sunny, the living room w...

I can’t tell stories from memories earlier than 3, I can only tell what I’ve been told. My earliest memory was at 3. However, this first was not my memory but my mum’s memory and I used to love h...

When we moved to Yorkshire town, dad was on a temporary contract so we lived in a rented house. It was a typical 1930’s semi detached house in the area of town that dad was told that we had to li...

The girls, especially Talaia, often ask me about my childhood. They start with the sentence “Tell me a story about when you were…” and finish with an age. I thought that this is what I could do w...

There doesn’t seem to be any sign of Nojomo on the diary so far and, to be fair, I’m not convinced I’d have time to do it. However, let’s see how it goes! Today would, of course, be considered No...

When I organised this evening (having tapas with a good friend) a few weeks ago, I said “it’s my long run day, but I’ll be fine because it’s school holidays and the girls and I will have a chill ...

My friend messages to say that one of the black kittens had died. She wasn’t sure why but the mother has never been maternal. However, it’s taken away from the difficulty of choosing, I guess. An...

WHERE: in the living room, stretching after a session of hill sprints. This is where I jog to a local footbridge and sprint to the top. I then walk down again repeat ad infinitum or until my legs...

What part of pop culture do you wish would just go away? I really hate the current rape culture, I feel as though equality has gone backwards in terms of sexual equality. The idea that blokes wil...

Rich has gone oop north today to visit his mum. She has a hospital appointment today just to keep a check on the cancer. His taxi came at 6.10 so I was back from my run by 5.55am! So I have had a...

We visited the kittens again today - they’re 3 weeks old now and still utterly gorgeous - even more so now that their eyes are open. Rich sat and cuddled one for over an hour! I took a few photo...

Or should I say, exercise people in England! I’ve signed up to an app called Earthmiles who link your exercise app. When your exercise, the information is sent to the Earthmiles app and it awards...

10 things about your appearance: 1) I have freckles but wasn’t born with them. Too much desire for a tan in the eighties meant that I burnt badly several times. 2) I have 4 tattoos - my first wa...

I’m sitting drinking a slightly plasticky tasting lemon & ginger tea. This is because we bought a new kettle yesterday and despite having boiled it and emptied it out the taste still lingers....

Would you ever parachute out of a plane? I have done, several times. Thoroughly enjoyed it too 😁✈ What’s the most daring thing you’ve done? Hmm, daring comes in many shapes and sizes - you could ...

I would like to apologise for my scream last weekend; it was unprofessional and the kind of thing that pisses me off on Facebook but I needed to let it out somewhere other than directly at my dar...

WHERE: in the bath, I haven’t put enough cold water in so I’m sweating a little - it kinda defeats the point of a bath! WEARING: bright orange nail varnish, a bracelet that Tally made for me, a b...

General observations. The Freedom of kids was lovely. Allowing them to go and play around the site, to go to the portfolios alone. Seeing/hearing behaviour of other kids makes me proud of my own...

…while swimming yesterday, I was aware that my swimming cosie is old and has given way a little in the bum area so I was keeping my bum under the water a lot. After we had been in the water for ...

For the festival had cost over £100! And that doesn’t even cover all meals! We ate going for a whole week though… I’m going to take my running stuff… And I’m going to henna my hair before we go… ...

WHERE: sitting on the sofa in the living room, the sofa that only eats small things but not the one that eats people because I’m a person who doesn’t like to be digested by DFS’s finest - and DFS...

I had a fantabulous run this morning! My alarm went off mid dream, which isn’t usually a good thing; I stumbled to the bathroom and had to switch the light on! The first time this summer that it ...

MAKE UP On Saturday the girls asked me if they could do my make up, I got all my slap (as my sister calls it) down from the bathroom, explained what it was all for, closed my eyes and let them ge...

While I’ve been running I’ve had various things shouted at me, the most bizarre was “You’ve lost your bike!” And the most common, “it’ll ruin your knees.” Well, I started running because I’m shit...

Our local group of churches run a summer holiday club each summer, just during one week. This summer my girls asked to go. We’re not a particularly religious family but believe that a lot of the...
