Oh man, this might be the birthday that breaks me. I won't have to worry about turning 30 next year because I might have been done in long before then!

Lunch on Thursday with Jenna and the munchkins. It's amazing how quickly they grow up, grace was so well behaved, drew me a lovely picture of me in a purple haze which was apparently my princess dress from Laura's wedding!

Thursday night john said 'shall we go for a little pre-birthday drink?' Three bottles of wine later, we rolled home giggling like school children and had wild but quiet sex, which made it all the more funny!

Then the spoiling yesterday, flowers, gorgeous roses, accented by some lovely blue flowery things, a sparkly pink cake made from scratch, by my lovely boy who does not bake but thinks I'm worth the effort, a pandora charm for my bracelet, and a Yankee candle that smells like me in the summer, apparently!

Had the funniest face time with my brother and his girlfriend, they had been out for valentines dinner and were a little the worse for wear, both are hysterically funny, and we laughed til we cried whilst talking to them. They seem really really happy which is so lovely to see after the horrible time he had after his ex decided she was a lesbian and left him for a woman.

We went for lunch at an all you can eat Brazilian meat place, and drank cocktails while demolishing half a cow. Then met my sister and her boyf so they could take us to all the places the cool kids drink. Lots of teeny tiny hole in the wall places selling cocktails, including the bubblegum one with actual sweets on the top, and the tiki bar selling drinks in pineapples, with glacé cherries stuck in the top with plastic pirate swords!

At some point today we're booking Florida for my 30th next year, woo hoo! It was a drunken whim of my sisters, we've been once before but she was so little she doesn't remember it, so she said we should go for my 30th, and we're actually gonna do it!

Tonight is more cocktails with the girls. Laura was making dinner and cocktails for Dave last night, their first valentines as a married couple, and said she needed to get him good and drunk so he wouldn't know how bad the food was! So she's gonna make us cocktails tonight before we head out to dance like crazy ladies around our handbags.

Tomorrow is all you can eat curry buffet with the family, perfect hangover food, and exciting to spend time with the people I love.

Having a week off work when it's your birthday should be encouraged! I've had an absolute ball.

Xx
