There is a feeling that by next week the world will be a different place - the Scottish referendum on Thursday will change the lives of everyone who lives in the UK - the result could be on a knife edge - not more than one or two percent in it - which means that nearly of those who voted will be unhappy with the result.
The Government in London have no real plans for what may happen if the Scots vote for independence - and there will be no Great Britain - all the certainties of the past will go - and if there is a No vote there will be substantial changes to the relationship since nearly half will have wanted away.
This is the problem with democracy - you cannot trust the electorate to do what you want them to do if you are a leader - and the whole political structure in Great Britain has been shaken by the Scots vote - the leaders of the main parties look old hat - white, male and from the professional classes - Blair tried to take the politics out of politics - and he failed - I am glad to say.
How would I vote if I was Scottish and lived in Scotland? Given the bully boy tactics of business classes this week against the Yes vote most likely Yes - but my head would say No - a classic Don’t Know until faced with casting a vote - and then I would make up my mind.
