Man, I am exhausted!
And I only went to the shops for about three hours. Window shopping really does tire me out. Maybe it’s my new age number letting me know it only gets worse from here LOL.
I had a pretty good relaxing day. Now that’s it’s past midnight, I can say another birthday has come and gone, and I didn’t make too much of a big deal out of it. In fact, I haven’t the past few years. Not since my 29th have I had a party.
I was going to go to Chermside to catch up with Moe and Steve, but Moe said he was feeling sick as a dog, so I hardly wanted to catch that from him on my birthday, so I had an offer from Reece to go and catch up with him at Indooroopilly instead, so I did that.
I always love seeing Reecie. Such a cutie. Always dresses well, has hair done well, youthful face etc etc. He turned up pretty late though because his bus was delayed by 40 minutes, so we only really had an hour and a bit to do shopping and chat and catch up.
So before he got there, I just wandered around. MAN that shopping centre has changed a lot since I was there last. I realized that it had been almost a year since I had been there, as I did Christmas shopping there in December last year, and a lot of it was still being refurbished. Well, that’s all done now, and it looks stunning. Reminds me a lot of Robina Town Centre in the way it’s designed, and I have to wonder if it’s the same people. Much nicer than all the Westfield Shopping Centres.
I didn’t really know where to start haha. I am used to the boring old plain Queen Street Mall in the city centre, that barely ever changes. Not to that extent anyway.
So Reece rocks up and turns out he has brown hair! I barely recognized him haha. He’s always had blonde hair when I lived with him and even well after. I soon found out that’s his natural colour. He joked that he’d never seen his own natural colour either haha.
He bought some Christmas stuff and then he was kind enough to shout me dinner for my birthday. A burger and a drink from this famous place that makes burgers next to a butcher. I joked, ‘Do they kill the cow in front of you and slap it on the burger?’ and when we got there I asked him to ask for ‘Daisy’ please. Terrible, Muriel, terrible.
Oh and for any vegans reading… :P
So the food was yummo, then we walked around and shopped a little before the shops closed. I ended up buying myself the Absolutely Fabulous box-set, which I’ve always seen advertised for well over $100, and it was $90 at the ABC Shop (which is a notoriously overpriced store) so I figured ‘why not’ and bought it.
Reece and I joked about a few quotes from it here and there.
He bought a present for his boyfriend, which was pretty cool.
He caught the train back toward the city with me, which was nice of him. He was saying how he’s easy to buy for but his boyfriend has no idea what to get him, and his boyfriend suggested to take him out for a fancy dinner, and Reece read that message out to me and goes, ‘Guaranteed blowjob.’ LOL.
I joked with him, ‘Wow you are easy to please, “feed me and fuck me” and he goes ‘Sex would be nice!’ as though implying they don’t have sex anywhere near as much as he’d like.
I guess Reece has always been a pretty sexual guy, just in a different way. He knows his type and goes for it. Turns out my birthday is also him and his boyfriend’s 1-year anniversary, so that’s cute. His boyfriend is a flighty though, so is still overseas. They seem to make it work pretty well though. I mean, a year, wow. That was about my longest, and that was YEARS ago.
Earlier on before I went to meet up with Reece, I’d woken up around 1pm or so, and noticed there was a cookie box and a present on the kitchen table, as well as about three texts from Jeff asking if I was home etc etc. He’s always so annoying with his constant texting! Anyway, I got up and was having breakfast when he came downstairs. He thought I might have been out for my birthday or something. Nope lol. I didn’t even really know what I was doing at that point. So I asked if the stuff on the table was from him, and it was. I never expected him to get me anything! I guess he can be thoughtful sometimes and not annoying as fuck. Coulda fooled me haha.
So I open the cookie box and it says ‘Cookie Card’ on it. It’s easier to explain it in picture form (if you haven’t already seen this on my Instagram - I went a bit crazy today lol)
The present’s I had to laugh at. They were a mixture of electrical stuff like mini torches and a sensor light and some batteries. Purely bought more for his benefit than mine, as Jeff likes to turn the outside light off to save on electricty, leaving me in the dark when I come home from work and fumbling around the the key-hole. It’s reminiscent of sex sometimes I tell ya. So now I have my pick of all these lights that I will have to replace the batteries in sooner or later lol. Still, I was thankful for the gifts. I didn’t expect anything. I liked the cookie-card better. I haven’t even eaten any of it yet though :)
I’m catching up with Moe on Sunday now, when he feels a bit better. So that should be a bit more belated birthday fun and laughs.
Here’s to 31! :) I wonder what this next year will bring me.
