The balls are out..... in blackpropaganda

At last an opportunity to get on to PB - we have been to the city twice in the last three days for orchestral concerts which have been put on by the BBC and so are free - and they have been fantastic - one devoted to the works of Richard Strauss who was born 150 years ago this week. It is wonderful to be in totally full hall (well it was free) - and a fantastic orchestra. We go on the train and do some shopping and also have lunch - so it is a day out - but you never get other things done.

The bad side this week was to spend a lot (and I mean a lot) of money to get my car able to pass the annual MOT test - it looks like I may have to look around once it is through - although I would be loathe to part with it - still there are things which are going wrong.

And Spain lost to Holland in the World Cup 5 - 1 last night - Spain beat them in the final four years ago - and looked a team on the decline. There is Was wearing my Spanish shirt - and had sent some to the boy grandchildren - but the six year old was not happy about wearing his for soccer this morning - he like to represent winners. So he will never wear an England shirt. The Italy-Engand match starts at 11 pm this evening - I think I shall watch he first half and see the way the wind is blowing. Lots of excuses for England, heat, humidity and pitch!
