I obviously love taking pictures of the Christmas colors. One friend takes pictures of birds, and another takes pictures of cars. I seem drawn to the shine and glitter of this holiday.

It wasn’t a really special day when I was a kid. It was scrambled eggs on Christmas Eve, and a rush by mother to wrap the gifts at the very last minute. Grandma came, and Gimpa usually sat next to me. I usually got to hand one gift out at a time. The ribbon was saved carefully as was the paper. Only after I had children of my own did I pull out the camera and begin to record the day. For some reason, even this holiday, I have made a great effort to have the tree up before Christmas Eve. I have all the packages wrapped well before dinner too.

This year, Margot and Zoe will be doing a drive by. There are presents here for her here from Bobbie as well as some from us. We mailed off Bobbies goodies for Laka yesterday. At this leisurely pace, everything will all get done at my speed not mother’s.

Himself: Our neighbor is still in Florida. The plants she left in front are dying. George was watering the plants on her deck. He will move what can be salvaged out to the deck also.
Myself: Dentist at noon. Stitches out. I can eat solider food. I can do water aerobics again too. Did I say that I’ve gained a lot of weight this last month.
Reading: Obama.
Watching: NCIS and TBBS.
Photo: Mine on a red Christmas.
Gratitude’s: That the implant is moving right along.
