I am going to be the maid of honor at my cousin's wedding. This week I went to stay with her to help finalize the details. The wedding will be in June. My cousin lives just north of New York City. The wedding is going to be at a church in her town, and the reception will be at a restaurant overlooking the Hudson River. I was there from last Wednesday until Tuesday. I flew in and out of Kennedy Airport in New York City and took the train to her house. We got a lot done, but still have more to do. Planning a wedding is a lot of work. I can see why people elope to Las Vegas. The groom's parents are paying for some of the wedding. The groom is their youngest child, and his older brother eloped and called his parents a few days later to tell them he was married. I think his parents see this as their last chance to have the wedding of their dreams and are going all out.

We also had time to do some sightseeing. We went to several parks on the Hudson River and went to the mall. We also went by West Point. The campus is very impressive. We went to a bridal shop and got my dress. It is blue with spaghetti straps.

It was a fun time but I missed my babies. This is the longest I have been away from them in a while. My mom watched them while my husband was working. The kids have their vacation from school next week, so we will have some time to get reacquainted.
