April 28 - Preps and Next Steps in These Foolish Things

Slow Sunday, and that was nice.

Woke up to rain. Heavy rain and thunder. I had the patio door open and it was so nice to hear. The temps were perfect - not too cool and not yet hot.

Did a little more clothes organization then got online to figure out what workout series to do next after going through both of my old Jillian Michaels 30-day programs for my 75 Hard challenge.

I’ve decided to try this workout plan: Heather Robertson’s 12-week Workout Program 4.0, which focuses on strength training. There are other 12-week programs to choose from, but this one intrigues me because now that I’m at my goal weight, my next step will be to try to build more muscle and see if I can actually get some definition as well. I mean, sure I’m allllll about doing this for the health benefits, but if I can also look better in my summer dresses then all the better. And I know that building muscle is going to help with the osteopenia that is starting to happen to my ol’ bones.

And yes, this will take me well past Day 75, but again, all the better. Because I don’t want to finish the program and go right back to my old ways. That’s the sure fire way to just throw away all of this hard work. There are actually next steps after 75 Hard for the crazies who want to keep going. The next levels take the routine that I’ve been following throughout the 75 days of 75 Hard and then I have to add a couple of more steps. The Livehard Program is a year-long transformative mental toughness program. So… I’ll tell you all about it when I get there. I’m getting ahead of myself.

But with getting close to the end of the 75 days, hitting my goal weight and my closet clean-out this weekend, I’m more motivated than ever to continue making progress.

I still have all of my bottoms to go through in my closet. That consists of jeans, pants and skirts. And then I have bags and other accessories too! But I did make a good dent and I feel pretty good about that.

OK. I’m already thinking about the week ahead. I’m sleepy. Lots to do!

And I’m excited to be going away next weekend too - Girls Weekend! More on that later!

Can I ask, what is your routine like? Are you going to the gym, are these gym-less workouts, or did you buy something special? Your progress is inspiring.

Thank you!! I'm not sure I understand your question? I thought I explained that in the entry, but maybe it's not clear? Did you click the link? It shows a series of in-home workouts that I'm doing. Did the Day 1 this morning at home and I feel great!
